As of May 4, 2013, it operated 1,112 store locations in 33 states, the District of Columbia, and Guam. The company's Ross stores primarily target middle income households and dd's DISCOUNTS brand stores target moderate income households. Ross Stores, Inc. was founded in 1957 and is headquartered in Pleasanton, California.
