GSE Systems, Inc. provides training simulators and educational solutions to the energy, process, manufacturing, and government sectors in the United States, Europe, and Asia. It offers power simulation products comprising Java Applications and Development Environment that facilitates customers to access simulator and run simulation scenarios from the Web; Xtreme Tools, a suite of software modeling tools; GPWR, a generic pressurized water reactor; RELAP5-HD, which enables the engineers to understand and control the internal functions of RELAP5, a safety analysis code; PSA-HD, an environment for running MAAP 5.0 accident analysis code; SimExec and OpenSim simulation executive systems that control simulation activities and facilitate an off-line software development environment; and SmartTutor, a software for instructor stations. The company's power simulation products also include SmartTools, which assist in automatically testing and documenting the performance of the simulator against baseline data; Xtreme I/S, an instructor station that facilitates the use of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to control the simulation environment; Pegasus Surveillance and Diagnosis System, a software package for semi-automatic plant surveillance and diagnostics; SIMON, a computer workstation system to monitor the stability of boiling water reactor plants; and VPanel, an interactive visual training solution. In addition, it provides application engineering, project management, training, site services, maintenance contracts, and repairs to enable users plan, design, implement, and manage/support simulation and control systems. The company has strategic alliances with All Russian Research Institute for Nuclear Power Plant Operation; Kurchatov Institute; Risk Engineering Ltd.; Samsung Electronics; Toyo Engineering Corporation; UNIS; and Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. GSE Systems, Inc. was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in Sykesville, Maryland.
