ChinaNet Online Holdings, Inc., through its subsidiaries, provides business-to-businesses Internet services for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) sales networks in the People's Republic of China. The company operates through five segments: Internet Advertisement, Technical Services, TV Advertisement, Bank Kiosks, and Brand Management and Sales Channel Building. Its Internet advertising and marketing portals include 28.com for SMEs to advertise their business information, brands, products, services, and other related business opportunities through their mini-sites, as well as provides management tools, such as lead generation and management, tracking, search engine marketing, search engine optimization, resource scheduling, content management, and price adjustment service. The company's Internet advertising and marketing portals also comprise Liansuo.com to serve larger SMEs and international clients; sooe.cn for smaller sized and emerging SMEs; and Chuangye.com to assist entrepreneurs in developing their business, as well as sharing their resources in a Web2.0 and SNS2.0 driven interaction. In addition, it produces and distributes television shows comprising advertisements and promotions for various clients; and operates bank kiosk advertising network, which provide advertising services and Internet access to perform non-cash banking functions, such as transferring money, purchasing annuities and/or insurance, and paying bills. Further, the company offers brand management and sales channel building services, which include iMAP management services, such as brand investigation, modulization, application, and promotion, as well as sales channel expansion modeling, implementation, and management services. It serves customers in cosmetics, health care, footwear, apparel, garments, food and beverage, environmental protection equipment, and women accessories industries. The company was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Beijing, China.
